Here is a little about me and my love for nature and photography:
I have been a photo enthusiast, since I was a teenager in Alaska. Being born and raised in Texas,
which has it's own unique beauty, I moved to Anchorage, Alaska in my sophomore year of High School.
I got my first camera when I was about 10 years old, an inexpensive point and shoot, that used a flash cube.
If you know what that is you are dating yourself.
While I was attending West Anchorage High School, I made friends with Charles (Chuck) Rhea. He was into
photography and had a Canon SLR. After we graduated we remained friends and I purchased my first
Minolta SLR. Chuck and I would get together and go out and shoot photos. He helped me to better understand
aperture, shutter speed and film ISO. I really enjoyed the time we spent together and I miss him. I also really enjoyed
the beauty of Alaska and wish I had of taken more time to take photo's.
I am always trying to improve my skills. I take every chance I can to get out with fellow professional photographers and
will continue to go on workshops to explore new areas and hone my skills. I am currently shooting with a Canon 5DSR. I am also starting to do wildlife photography and use a Canon 7D Mark ll for that endeavor.
Thank you again for visiting my site and I hope you visit often.
I want to thank my wife, Pattie for all of her support. Without her patience and love none of this would be possible.
